This is an article I've been holding off on writing until I had more information on the whole situation. Mueller has indicted 12 Russian GRU (Russian military intelligence) operatives charging them with money laundering using bitcoin and establishment of false identities as “DC Leaks” and “Guccifer 2.0” for hacking. Also in the report, an unnamed congressional candidate has been accused of receiving stolen documents from Guccifer 2.0. This is interesting because it debunks the rumors that Seth Richards was the person who leaked the emails and then was assassinated by the Hilary Clinton camp. We also found out that the FBI got a FISA warrant approved by 4 Republican approved judges to surveil Carter Page the former Trump campaign adviser. This is significant because it corroborates parts of the steel dossier and shows that the FBI had prior suspicions of him and they only heightened when he turned up in the Trump campaign. Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer who is also under investigation is also alleging that Trump knew of the secret June meeting between Trump Jr and the Russians and with his tapes in the hands of the feds, ain't no telling what is about to drop. And last but not least we also learned that Russian agent Maria Butina was charged by the national security unit of the Justice Department with being an unregistered Russian agent who had attempted to create a backchannel of communications between American Republicans/Conservatives and Russian officials by infiltrating the NRA, the National Prayer Breakfast, and conservative religious organizations with the help of Aleksandr Torshin, Central Bank of Russia's deputy governor. Some have argued that this whole investigation has been fake and a plot by the deep state to undermine the Trump presidency. Me personally I don’t subscribe to those conspiracy theories and I believe the report after having been on the fence for the longest. It would take a massive cover-up to have a faux investigation and to make up evidence of this degree. That’s not to say the government hasn’t done shady things in the past to deceive the public and lie. We’ve seen that many times, however, I feel this is not one of those times considering the fact that we have different prosecutors, judges, and intelligence agencies from different backgrounds and expertise and then Muller who is respected by both sides of the political spectrum. Now, he does have a checkered past as he did push for the Iraq war making the false claims about WMDs in 2003 leading up to the war so I understand the skepticism. However, these concerns over Russian interference didn’t start post-2016 election and was actually well before the 2016 election as early as late 2015 from British intelligence. There are many tentacles connected to the investigation with judges approving warrants for this to all be a deep state conspired hoax. Even people within the Trump administration accept Russian interference at this point however this does not prove Trump is a puppet or asset of Russia. What I’m saying is that there’s enough there to believe there was interference in the election, however, this investigation goes beyond that expanding to financial and obstructing of justice criminal allegations. The investigation is not done but so far we have 32 indictments five U.S. nationals, 26 Russian nationals, and one Dutch national and three Russian organizations. I’m looking forward to more revelations as it gets closer to Trump himself.
