The Many Responses To The Chemical Attack In Syria

Everyone has seen the photos of the horrific attack that occurred in Syria where men, women, and children were slaughtered with chemical weapons in Eastern Ghouta. President Trump is currently weighing his response to this attack and many are wondering what is going to happen next. There are questions as to why the Syrian army would commit such an attack like this considering that they have pretty much won the area and basically had only one city to go which was Douma where they have managed to encircle the area effectively. Logically, there is no real reason to employ such a horrifying tactic so I question the official story because if anything; the rebels are the ones who have more to gain in something like that. But the bigger point here is that Trump feels a need to respond and John Bolton just had his first day on the job as national security adviser. Russia has already claimed that there will be severe repercussions to attacking Syria over this incident. There are already reports of a strike by Israel against a missile base that killed up to 4 Iranians including a colonel in the Iranian guard corps. Either way you slice it, tensions are mounting and Trump has the ability to strike at any moment and that can set off something where there’s no point of return.
