Bombing Raids Stepped Up In Afghanistan

The U.S. is stepping up its bombing raids on Taliban positions. U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress fired off 24 precision guided munitions toward Taliban facilities that were also being used by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement which is a Chinese Muslim Islamist group that has been fighting alongside the Taliban since 2001 and has a brigade fighting alongside Al-Qaida in Syria. Strikes have also struck drug labs in the south sapping up the Taliban's revenue, however, the Taliban has been resilient. They still managed to commit both an ambulance bombing in the capital and a siege at a popular hotel.
