Trailer Trash!!! Acrimony

Taraji is getting back in the box office in 2018 it seems and I’m not mad, getcha money mama!

Acrimony (bitterness or ill feeling) is a 2018 psychological thriller created by Tyler Perry of all people. Which is a pleasant change in direction since we’ve been getting relatively the same types of films from him for the past decade.

There’s not much I can find on the film on Wikipedia but Taraji’s character has been with her husband for quite some time and from what I can gather they ended up getting a divorce. Her husband played by Lyriq Bent (I most recently saw the brother on Spike Lee’s Netflix adaptation of “She’s Gotta Have It” in a similar situation to his role in this film) has moved on to life with another woman played by Tika Sumpter (She’s played in a lot of Tyler Perry’s previous work. Her real name is Euphemia which is beautiful, had to note that. lol) but Taraji’s character feels as though she is still owed a lot judging from the conversation she’s having with her therapist.

The scenes thus far are pretty intense and the fact that a general summary of a plot isn’t present is kind of nice, I can say for the first time that I’m actually intrigued to see a Tyler Perry film in 2018.

I’ll leave it at that. lol
