Peace family!!! The God is back and starting off the new year right!! (Well a New Year, I personally like warm weather so the New Year is in Spring when my allergies hate me, go figure!)

Welcome to my Infinity Index, a place where I can share my personal experiences with music, books, movies and different pieces of media that make me tic.

I love sharing things that I love with people and gaining common ground with someone else so they’ll be a weirdo like me!

I do hope you return to FiendFix for this segment as I plan on putting my meat and potatoes in here, let’s learn a lil bit about the subject matter of this one!

As you all hopefully know the year is 2017 meaning 2007 was ten years ago and during this time I looked about the same but a bit slimmer and pizza faced, high school would be over for me in 2008 and I was full of raging hormones.👺

Now this story goes back to the winter of 2007, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has just released and reinvented the First Person Shooter genre for years to come. This tidbit being noteworthy as my cousin Jamel took me to our friend Alex’s house and I played a few rounds of multiplayer with him where I thoroughly slayed him even though I’d just touched the game for the first time probably 5 minutes ago (I have an extensive history with FPS games and it doesn’t take long for ya boi to get gud and make scrubs eat dirt! History is written by the victors, sorry Alex, that’s if you even remember that. lol) and I was feeling myself.

Before leaving his spot Alex gave me a couple cd’s, one being a mix, one with M.I.A’s Kala (Bomb ass album, had Paper Planes and other gems on it) and Cross by JUSTICE.

Cross ended up in heavy rotation in my car when I started driving and it was straight crack for ya boi man and I’m here to hopefully put you on to this heavy ass album. Mind you’ve heard some of these songs in advertisements over the last decade, this album was a bomb start for these two previous Metallica cover band members.

JUSTICE is an French House duo from Paris, France headed by Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay and are managed by Pedro Winter (Previous manager of fellow electro duo Daft Punk) of Ed Banger Records.

The first album is a classic to me and my growth process, it’s really synth heavy and that’s what I love about it. Tell me you can’t hear “Thriller’s” influence in Genesis (First song on the album), listen a couple times if it doesn’t hit you the first time!

I don’t want to drown you in my opinion, I just want you to listen and enjoy it so we can jam to it if ever you ride in my car.

Mind you I personally know about 2 people in person who listen to this group so I get giddy whenever I hear someone else playing anything from Justice’s catalog. (Shout-out to Jackie)

Cross

(Also providing the Youtube video with the whole album in the event you don't have Spotify)

After this album set fire to the world, JUSTICE went on a tour across America and this is a trailer for the documentary on their travel. Note Kanye at one of their concerts getting his life!! (This was before Mama Donda West made her transition to the ancestral realm, this was Kanye while he was working on Graduation (whilst he was still pure) as it came out on Sept 11th, 2007, Cross came out in June 18th of the same year.) This was Kanye pure and I was happy to see homie jamming to a group that I loved too, we have that common ground, don’t try to take that away from me. lol

P.S. It was actually the music video for Phantom where Kanye appears but it’s still from the documentary footage, he appears for a brief second around 2:25

Album number 2 creeped out in 2011 and I was annoyed having to wait so long, luckily the year after Cross came out we got a LIVE album with the same title as the documentary “A Cross The Universe” in 2008 which featured remixes of Cross songs and was recorded at one of the tour shows, it’s lit!

I’m here to give you the main albums, you can listen to the LIVE jawns on Spotify.

Audio, Video, Disco

(Also providing the Youtube video with the whole album in the event you don't have Spotify)

2011 we got “Audio, Video, Disco” by the bois and it was lovely! Now mind you the group went through a genre shift with this album and I have to say it didn’t hamper them at all because this album has heavy electro rock influences so it has a very 80s galm to it which is perfect if you’re still riding around in a Thunderbird. lol

Mind you the Thriller influence is once again existent in their second intro which is wild that they were able to work it into another intro. (If you need help finding it in the song lemme know fam!)

Woman

(Also providing the Youtube video with the whole album in the event you don't have Spotify)

And last but not least we have album #3 Woman which came out in late 2016.

Ya boi had to wait 5 years for a new album (They did the live album thing with Audio, Video, Disco as well, it was called Access All Arenas.)

Woman went back another decade and invoked the 70’s with nu-disco influences (Ya boi loves him some disco!) and this is by far is my favorite album from the group.

Unfortunately I can’t hear Thriller in the intro “Safe and Sound” but I can and have listened to it for a couple hours at a time since it’s such a solid single.

Give the album a listen and enjoy it, spark up and listen cuz it’s hella psychedelic!

I actually have visuals that I want to do along with this album so please let me know if y’all wanna work with me when I’m ready to make that happen!

Enjoy!!! (I do not own the rights to this music)
