What's good y'all!?
So we have a new trailer from Insomniac Games (who has a rad new logo!) Spiderman game which should be releasing in 2018.
Now for those of you not in the know, Insomniac Games are the creators of beloved franchises Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank and Resistance series which I'm sure a lot of you grew up with.
Insomniac Games is also very close with another lil studio known as Naughty Dog (the creators of Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter as well as the much beloved Uncharted and Last of Us series). Fun fact: they used to develop games in the same building back in their early days on Universal property in Cali!
Now from what I can tell from the story is we've got Mr. Negative who most plebs that don't read comics will be happy to see as the main antagonist of this title.
Miles Morales is introduced as well and is a friend to Peter Parker meaning the fan service in this game is palpable, Insomniac is crafting a narrative to rival the likes of what we've seen from the wall crawler on the silver screen.
I'm hype for this game because it's a standalone title not tied to a major motion picture release meaning it should tickle the world's fancy like the critically lauded Batman: Arkham series.
From what I can tell we'll probably be able to play as Miles post game which is dope, the fan service is what video games are all about in these instances.
I'm hoping a release date hits us within the next few months because I'm gonna need to buy a Playstation 4 before next year gets too deep.
