The God Blesses 🙏 Thor-Ragnarok review

I can finally without a doubt say I enjoy a Thor film because the last two weren't anything special to the MCU, they felt very disconnected from the rest of the universe but no more!
A lil back story on how I got to see an early screening of the film the Monday before the film released.
Initially me and my best friend were going to see Blade Runner 2049 when I was approached in line by a sista who asked if I wanted to see Thor: Ragnarok but she only had one ticket so I declined.
I come to talk to this sista again with another friend and she gets me 2 passes to see the early screening. Right before this a brother approaches me and gives me a free movie pass which I wasn't expecting at all, I'm winning at life fam!
Now back to the matter at hand!
We finally have a good Thor movie and it's good to finally say that.
Ragnarok is coming to Asgard with the return of Thor and Loki’s older (Forgotten sister) Hella, Odin’s first born.
She kills Mjolnr and Chris Hemsworth is sent on a journey to find strength without his trusty hammer.
He ends up getting captured by Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson) on Sakaar (Where the popular comic run of Planet Hulk takes place) to participate in gladiator games held by the Grandmaster (Brother of The Collector and played by Jeff Goldblum (who was showing his ass since he just played himself in this movie and I love him for that alone!).
He meets up with the green machine himself on Sakaar, finds a ship and makes his way back to Asgard to defend his home from big sis.
I won't spoil the ending but those are some story beats.
It's nice to see that this film in particular has latched onto the Guardians formula and did it better than GOTG Vol 2 which forced a lot of jokes and laughs out of its viewers and I didn't like that.
The tone is a lot less serious than previous entries and it benefits the film greatly.
I know a lot of people are sick of the post Avengers “Serious moment, quip a joke, everyone laughs” shtick that has been plaguing the MCU but it works here, this movie was a ride and I WANT to actually see it again.
I highly implore you to check it out since this is the last Marvel endeavor of the year with Black Panther being the next entry in Disney's cash cow.
Expect more structured reviews from ya boi, I'm just getting started.
God bless! 🙆
