What Happens In Vegas….

...Well you know how the rest of the saying goes. But in this case what happened in Vegas not only will not stay in Vegas but has occurred elsewhere and that’s mass shootings. This time the person who committed this senseless act of violence was 64-year-old Stephen Craig Paddock. From his Mandalay Bay hotel room he begin to open fire on a concert full of people resulting in a death toll that currently sits at 60 dead including the shooter as of the time this is being written. This makes the mass shooting in Las Vegas the largest mass shooting since the Pulse night club shooting in Orlando which resulted in 49 people being killed. It is worth noting that in addition to those who were killed hundreds were injured so the death toll could continue to rise. The shooter killed himself as SWAT entered his room and the world is left wondering why and how? He had amassed loads of guns and ammo and clearly this man was deranged so how did he get these weapons? The idea of gun control legislation is already a nonstarter for people and any mention of it is the equivalent of saying you want to ban all of them even if you just call for something as simple as a universal background check. Over the next few days we will find out more about the motives behind the attack and we will be better able to understand what went down including profiles on the fallen. But, if you're expecting politicians to take any meaningful action to prevent this from happening again then don’t hold your breath.
