The U.S. is supporting a new campaign that will include thousands of trained Yemeni commandos with the help of American special operators and Emirati advisers. The American support will not only consist of intelligence sharing but also mid-air refueling and reconnaissance. Also the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group sits at sea ready to assist like it has in the past so the support network is there for this mission. The objective of the mission is to push out Al-Qaeda elements in their major strongholds and to degrade their ability to attack the West because that is still a goal of Al-Qaeda. As time progresses I look forward to seeing the fruits of this operation.
