There’s something very interesting I want to talk about and that is the International Revolutionary People's Guerrilla Forces which is an integral part of the international freedom battalion which is composed of both Communist and Anarchist. The IRPG are anarchist who believe in social revolution and spreading anarchism along with ending classism, racism, sexism and all the other evil isms. But unlike other Antifa groups, they believe in action and taking up arms. They have foreign fighters in Syria fighting alongside Kurdish forces who are also left wing. They have made videos about their fight there and they have lost many fighters along the way. As this is being written they are currently fighting in Raqqa against ISIS. Now, while they may not be directly linked to the protesting Antifa groups in Germany or North America, they stand in solidarity with these groups because the unifying goal is to smash oppression and lead the world towards social change. To me I find this interesting because a lot of people love to talk and document the activities of the Antifa groups in the west rioting but forget that there are others who are armed and exporting revolution in war torn areas. The question is what happens when they decide to take the armed revolution to western states? It’s something to really think about.
