Castlevania: Not Bad, But a Waste of Time (for now)

I'm not that big on video game adaptions, but when I heard an animated version of Castlevania was in the works as a Netflix Original, I got a little excited. Being one of my favorite franchises (along with Legacy of Kain, Metroid, Tekken and Final Fantasy) I always wondered how an adaption of the series would turn out and what story they would use. The series is based of the 1990 NES game Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (one I never played). Though the series is not bad, I enjoyed seeing Dracula and Trevor Belmont come to life in this animation I couldn't help but feel like this 4 episode series was a complete waste of my time. Not because it sucks, the show gets real personal with Dracula and the death of his wife and why he is so pissed which is awesome, but because right when the show is literally about to take off, it finishes. Luckily I heard 8 more episodes got ordered by Netflix so trust me just wait for the 8 and watch the series as a whole, you'll enjoy it more. The 4 episodes just felt like a big prologue. Its like Netflix misplaced the rest of the series. You'll be pissed if you watch it now just wait for the rest of it.
