Terrorist Profile: Khalid Saeed Batarfi

In 2015 there was a prison break done by Al-Qaeda militants in Yemen where 270 prisoners broke free and among them was a little known Saudi senior leader of Al-Qaeda named Batarfi. He was famously known for taking selfies in the provincial governors palace after being freed. He oversaw the group's media apparatus and was instrumental in the battle to take control of the Abyan Governorate in 2011 before being captured. He has appeared in propaganda videos since his escape and continues to play a military strategist role within AQAP.
