Attack in Tehran

In one of the rarest places were a ISIS terrorist attack could occur, Iran’s parliament and Khomeini mausoleum was hit by a bold attack which was carried out by ISIS leaving 12 dead. This is the first case of ISIS actually carrying out an attack in Iran let alone the heart of Tehran. Iran has blamed Saudi Arabia for the attack since Iran has good relations with Qatar. This is very interesting because Iran has done a good job recently of taking preventive measures to foil these types of attacks. In response Iran has fired ballistic missiles onto a ISIS headquarters in Syria striking multiple targets. It’s too early to know if this is an isolated incident or a situation where ISIS cells have setup shop in Iran.
