Why nobody is talking about Guardians 2

I had the opportunity to see Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 this weekend and I'm going to just flat out say it's not good. Now, is it action packed?, does it have out of your seat fighting and fun for the whole family!?... Yes, that it does, the movie is full of jokes left and right, they fight big monsters and then they make more jokes...
Usually when these Marvel Studios films come out they're the talk of the town. "Must See" "Movie of the Year" blah blah blah, but I did not see any of that for Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2, I see why. They introduce new characters that mean nothing and do nothing Like Mantis, they gave Nebula a bigger role in this film and still meant nothing... Oh and Sylvester Stallone makes a brief appearance that anybody could've been cast for.
But what I do like about the movie is the music, Baby Groot and the villain of the movie, Kurt Russell. Kurt Russell plays Ego, Star Lords father in the movie (but not in the comic) and he comes off as a nice guy who created his own planet and wants to teach Star lord that power but for the wrong reason... He basically wants his son to come to the dark side... Oh and it's revealed at the end that Ego is who put the Tumor in the Head of Star Lord's mother...ehh... But it has and incredible long final fight and made Yandu solo likeable in the film just to kill him off at the end.... Damn you Marvel. But yeah the movie is pretty dry, has children humor, and predictable beyond this world... Maybe I should just stop watching these Marvel films.
