Comey Firing

This news story is one of the weirdest developments I ever seen in my life. So first Comey is fired but then the explanation is that he was fired based on recommendations from the DOJ which they criticized how he treated Hilary during the elections. But according to inside sources, deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein threatened to resign after the blame was placed on him for the firing since he claimed he was only responding to a request from Trump. This was proven true as Trump admitted he planned to fire him regardless because of the Russian investigation throwing another twist in the mix. To make matters worse, the white house assert that the FBI rank and file lost confidence in Comey however that’s not what Andrew McCabe reported who is the acting FBI Director. He stated not only was that not true and that Comey was beloved at the FBI, but that Trump version of events at the dinner in Janurary was unusual. Trump asserted he asked Comey if he was being investigated in which Comey said yes but McCabe stated that’s not protocol for a Director to admit something like that during an investigation. Comey associates have said it’s because Trump couldn’t guarantee Comey’s loyalty. It’s also good to remember that Comey testified that the allegations that Obama wire tapped Trump were not supported by the evidence so we can see Comey is not someone whose loyalty can be bought off and he’s been like this since being appointed by the Bush Administration. The most disturbing part of this is the hinting Trump made about tapes from the dinner threatening Comey that they had but Sean Spicer the press secretary and no one in the administration will confirm or deny the existence of these tapes. Senators like Lindsey Graham want these tapes if they exist to be brought forth for examination. One interesting report that no one is discussing is how this may backfire on Trump since Comey was loved by his fellow FBI peers. It’s highly possible there could be retaliation by the FBI since even they were surprised by the firing and probably don’t appreciated how he was treated and how they were falsely accused of not actually supporting him.

Nothing that is coming from the White House is coherent because Trump finds ways to contradict it. Now, many are left wondering why he was really fired, with some saying because of Comey’s incompetence with Hillary’s emails but that doesn’t make sense because Trump was on the campaign trail praising Comey for how he handled that. He also kept him on as FBI Director shaking his hand in the white house. Then there’s the theory that it’s because he is hiding something on the Russian scandal which would be idiotic because the investigation will continue. And last some think it’s because he just figured out he is personally beginning investigated which is insane given the fact that Comey admitted during the hearings that he was investigating the Trump Campaign collusion with Russians.

Personally I lean more to the last one because I believe he's just that dumb especially considering the fact that he admits during the interview of firing him because of the Russian scandal however he tweeted before that, that it had nothing to do with the Russian investigation. However I believe the second one is highly possible because whatever problem he had with Comey, he could’ve gotten rid of him way earlier so why now? Even if he’s innocent in the scandal, it just makes him look guilty but I don’t believe he’s that bright to understand all that. We will have to wait and see how this movie ends and the suspense is killing me.
