Ashes of Creation Hits Kickstarter

The MMO genre in the last few years has been in a crisis of sorts. From near hits like ArcheAge to titles that failed to come out altogether like EverQuest Next. Recently however there has been a large influx of new MMO's most of them finding a niche following with fresh ideas and massive hype.

Normally its against my style to outright recommend anyone game specifically, but in the forefront of the buzz being generated surrounding this new wave. That game is Ashes of Creation.

Ashes of Creation is forming up to be what EQ Next was hoping to be only, in my opinion, better. AoC with its sandbox design and emphasis on building player civilizations and economies has me sold and if you take time to take you will be sold too. Their Kickstarter has just begun and its already fully funded and has met several stretch goals.
