He now leads one of the most dangerous Afghan crime family insurgent groups in Afghanistan called the Haqqani Network which his father created. He’s also the deputy leader to the overall Taliban organization. He is closely allied with Al-Qaeda central command and resides in North Waziristan, Pakistan where he is supported by Pakistan’s intelligence agency. He is wanted by the FBI for the Serena hotel attack in Kabul that took place in 2008 where an American Thor David Hesla was killed. His fighters are known for audacious attacks against Afghan and NATO forces in Afghanistan. There’s a 10 million dollar bounty on his head and the U.S. Has been gunning for him for awhile. Five out of six of his brothers who worked in the organization have been killed or captured with him and another brother being the only sons left. Also he acts as a prominent military commander for the Taliban and a member of the infamous Quetta Shura that runs the day to day ops of the Taliban. Any new offensive strategies you see from the Taliban in Afghanistan in the near future can be linked back to him.
