The Marines have landed

Marines just snuck into Syria and I’m here to break down what this means. Raqqah city is the goal here which is the capital of the Islamic State caliphate after Mosul and as we can see Mosul is crumbling so this is there last major caliphate capital and they will defend it to the death. So what are the marines doing? Well Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit will be establishing an artillery base. The reason for this is because it’s effective as we see in the Mosul operation. M777 155mm howitzers will be deployed as SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) try to drive ISIS from their stronghold and I believe this will succeed because we have a case study with Mosul over in Iraq. There’s also a infantry component to this most likely for force protection of the artillery guys. All of this comes as the Pentagon presents plans to the President for defeating ISIS.
