Target Acquired (Footage of Airstrike in Mosul)

This is a video of a previous coalition airstrike in Mosul against an ISIS target. The name of the U.S. led coalition’s operation is Inherent Resolve, which started in 2014 and covers Iraq and Syria. So to give some background on this particular bombing mission, this was a routine strike on an ISIS position. A watercraft was hit in what I call the “softening” of ISIS defenses around Mosul which is the last major city they control in Iraq which has been pummeled with airstrikes lately. By destroying this it makes it harder for them to escape by water forcing them to stay within the city.

I will be doing a more in depth analysis on the Siege of Mosul in the near future to explain the current situation there and uploading more of these types of videos as the DOD (Department of Defense) declassifies them to give perspective on how these practices are conducted.
